What is the difference in 1st and second generation ? Defining Crossbreeds

It is said that first generation ...a maltese bred to a poodle is a healthier ,more sturdy build of animal .

This is sometimes called 'hybrid vigor ' . Most experts do agree that the first generation is the one that would have the most positive aspects to it .

Generational dogs .2nd ,3rd ,and so forth ..a maltipoo bred to a maltipoo have more chances of finding that recessive bad gene . These dogs are said to be more likely to have issues in genetic health espically if the breeder does not know the exact lines and is breeding 2nd and 3rd .

A recessive bad gene is a gene that has not been seen maybe in the Poodle mom or dad ,Maltese mom or dad  or the Maltipoo mom or dad but was in say the great grandparents or even farther back and just found its way to the surface so to speak .

The reason is the closing of the gene pool . And more than apt inbreeding closely in those lines and can go back as far as that line started .

Even though second and third generation and even later generations of dogs are getting closer to being considered pure because now they look alike ,size alike and coats feel alike ,legs long  alike ,noses ,eyes all the same ...and breeders can come more predicting size and growth pattern ,hybrid vigor would no longer apply .

Some experts say if inbreeding is not done ,second generation can be as healthy and as unpredictable as first and in some cases this is true that I have seen and documented, however at this time not enough evidence exists that shows that second is any better or worse than first .I have found more small things like umbilical hernias in second than in first and from the same lines .

That tells me that more than apt I will get even more recessive gene issues in third .

And that is not by inbreeding ,but because of all known illnesses and genetic issues that dogs in general have in their gene pool .Even the most affluent breeder can have genetic issues as all dogs have very few genes that are different .

I read a study  recently that says all canines originated from the Asian Wolf .With the DNA to back it up and that what we crossbreeders knew all along that all dogs purebreed or cross were all crossbreeds at one time .

Remember that a crossbreed is not a breed at all ,some call them mutts ,some mixed ,some call them mongrels ,some call them whatever they want ..however a crossbreed is a cross of 2 other type dogs and the lines that come from that example ..Cockapoo ,Maltipoo ,Pekapoo ,Shihpoo and more  ...,a mutt is a mix of more than 2 and likely unknown ,a mongrel is "I don't know what it is period  " and a mix is just that and all of the above .
