MALTEPOO or MALTIPOO?

TAIL DOCKING On POODLE CROSSES

There is no standard on any Crossbreed ,so tail docking is a breeders choice .

Maltepoo

Example ... A Poodle has a certain length tail and this is obtained by the vet cutting the tail and this is done usually at about 3 to 5 days old .

The Maltese has a tail that curls over the body .

When you get a Maltipoo/maltepoo either the docked tail or tail left long is up to the breeder and the breeder's individual preference . Either cut or long is acceptable .

Yorkiepoo or Other Yorkiecross

This is a different cross and both the Yorkshire and the Poodle have docked tails ,so the acceptable tail is a docked one ,either the Yorkie length or the Poodle length is acceptable.

Where there is one with a docked tail and another parent with a long one ,it is breeder 's choice .

 A Bichon Cross ...

Breeder's choice if done with a Poodle or Yorkshire .Left long if done with another long tail type .

Male vs female ...Maltepoo/maltipoo

I have found that males make better all round family pets .Females are a little more possessive of what they consider to be theirs .This is my kitchen ...stay out ! LOL!

There is really no diffence in the acceptance of Children by the maltepoo/maltipoo .The all seem to adore them .
